About G-Ten

G-Ten is a service that helps our members to live a more sustainable life by offering advice, support and practical help.

We do this in two ways:

1. Providing answers to members questions.
2. Helping members make changes to their home, garden or lifestyle, for example by researching and buying eco-friendly building materials, or sourcing suppliers and fitters of water-efficient showers.
   

The G-Ten site is free for all to browse, so everyone can learn more about living a 'greener' life. Everything on the site is fully researched by our experts and the information is independent and objective. It is also designed to be practical, so you have both the information you need to make choices and the practical steps to act on them.

G-Ten also offers personalised support and advice to 'members', individuals signed up via subscription by their local authority, employer, or as part of a customer loyalty scheme. As well as browsing the site, members can ask G-Ten's Support Managers for personalised support and advice. The Support Managers research anything members need help on, whether that's finding a discount wormery or green grants for a wind turbine, or weighing up the pros and cons of two types of wood burner.

The answers Support Managers give members forms the basis of new content on the site.

How the G-Ten helps members

If you are signed up to the service by your council, company or a customer loyalty scheme, we can give you personalised advice on living a more sustainable life. Just email us or call us, and our support team will research your question.

Some members ask us information-based questions, for example when they want help weeding through research on the benefits of replacing all their lightbulbs with energy saving lights right now. Some want practical help sourcing products, services and reliable tradesmen to make the necessary changes to their home, garden or lifestyle. The vast majority of members want a mixture of both. Whatever your question, if you can't find the answer on the site, contact us.

Sustainability is "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs". 

The impact of our lifestyles, our actions, the choices we make and the products we buy on the environment is significant. By making informed choices we can reduce the detrimental effect that our actions have on the world we live in.

Can you become a member?

G-Ten's members are signed up via subscription by their local authority, employer of as part of customer loyalty schemes. At this time, private individuals cannot sign themselves up for membership of G-Ten. To find out whether your company or local authority subscribe, contact us.
